I began my time with Visible Realms as a student intern for five months, and was retained for two more after that. I was responsible for modeling and texturing four environment concepts from start to finish, as well as character animations and other tasks like creating renders for marketing or UI elements. The visual style of the game is simplistic and readable, and relatively low poly. It used a gradient texturing method to create the illusion of directional lighting while saving time with projected UV maps, and avoiding any performance issues from real-time lighting on mobile. The result is a stylized look that translates the feeling of the concept art to 3D with very little deviation.

Cat’S’Trophy was released in April 2018, and can be found via the link to the right.
